V.League 1 receives new sponsor to be more successful in 2024-25 season

HÀ NỘI — The national premier league V.League 1 is expected to earn more achievement and reach higher level after signing a sponsorship contract with new key partner Fortune Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank (LPBank) on August 5 in Hà Nội.

The one-year deal was signed between representatives of LP Bank and FPT Telecom which is authorised by the Việt Nam Professional Football Company (VPF) for commercial exploitation rights.

The signing ceremony is the first step of cooperation between LPBank, VPF and FPT Telecom with the FPT Play brand, towards the development of national football.

“Becoming the main sponsor of the LPBank V.League 1 is an evidence for our positive motto ‘Attach social responsibility in business’, said Hoàng Văn Phúc, LPBank deputy general director.

“We believe that, in the coming season, Vietnamese football in general and the LPBank V.League 1-2024-25 in particular will see many beneficial changes.”

In respond, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF Trần Anh Tú said: “VPF and FPT Telecom’s FPT Play are pleased to accompany LPBank in the upcoming journey of the highest club-level tournament in Việt Nam.

“We believe that the cooperation will be the key to unlocking further success for domestic football in the coming period. On our part, VPF will certainly continue to successfully complete the management, organisation and operation of the tournament, bringing the tournament to further development.”

LPBank is one of the joint stock banks with strong growth in recent years. LPBank actively contributes to the community and society through education, medical, sports and culture, social security and poor localities’ development support.

The LPBank V.League 1-2024-25 season will be kicked off on September 14 and wrapped in June, 2025.

The top three teams will receive a huge bonus of VNĐ9.5 billion (US$378,000) in which the champions will walk away with VNĐ5 billion.

The 2024-25 season is the third consecutive year that FPT Play has cooperated in producing and broadcasting national professional football tournaments.

FPT Play will continue to actively coordinate with VPF to improve the quality of competitions, bringing optimal benefits to audiences and partners, according to Hoàng Việt Anh, chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Telecom.

FPT Play will coordinate with the Vietnam Television (VTV) and HCM City Television (HTV) to produce and broadcast all matches live on different platforms including terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, public display and social networks. VNS
