The U.S. magazine Travel+Leisure has named Thua Thien Hue in central Vietnam one of the unforgettable destinations to visit in Asia in 2024.

Travel+Leisure suggests activities to do in Hue include exploring mausoleums and temples, or visiting the Imperial City.
The Imperial City, built in 1803, served as the country’s capital until 1945. It is part of the Hue Ancient Citadel, which was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
Beyond historical landmarks, the magazine recommends diverse experiences, including a swim at Elephant Springs, going on short treks, boating on the Perfume River, and exploration of an ancient tiger arena called Ho Quyen featuring preserved marks of tiger claws and teeth on its walls.
For those intending to visit in June, there’s a chance to travel to Da Nang, situated approximately 90 kilometers away, and enjoy the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
Airlines are responding to the anticipated rise in tourists traveling from Hue to Da Nang during the festival by increasing their daily flights.
Other destinations included in the list are Palawan in the Philippines, Takayama in Japan, the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, and Incheon in Korea
