Three Vietnam hotels among world’s top 100 chosen by US magazine readers

A hotel each in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc have been voted among the world’s 100 most favorite by readers of U.S. magazine Travel+Leisure.

Capella Hanoi, which opened in 2021 amid the Covid pandemic, ranks 18th in the list.

Situated on Le Phung Hieu Street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, it has 47 rooms and suites that were inspired by the Hanoi Opera House, a symbol of past extravagance.

Each room has a balcony overlooking Hoan Kiem (Sword Lake).

A night’s stay costs from VND6.5 million ($275).

Regent Phu Quoc, which opened on Vietnam’s largest island in April last year, is 19th in the list.

It has 302 suites and villas, six restaurants and bars, swimming pools overlooking Long Beach next to a UNESCO-recognized world biosphere reserve, reset meditation studio, and rooftop yoga pavilions.

A night’s stay costs from $365.

Reverie Saigon on Nguyen Hue Boulevard in downtown HCMC is in 35th place.

It has 286 rooms, suites and residential suites that combine modern and traditional Italian designs.

It has a swimming pool decorated with unique tiles on the sixth floor.

More than 685,000 people voted in the poll for over 8,500 properties.

Hotels were rated based on criteria such as rooms/facilities, location, service, food, and value.

Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet in Turkey tops the list, and is followed by The Bushcamp Company’s Mfuwe Lodge in Zambia and Andaz Bali in Indonesia.
