HCM CITY — With a highly integrated logistics service chain, THACO Group’s Trường Hải International Logistics Limited Liability Company (THILOGI) has effectively exploited local potential and strengths, contributing to the development of the freight transportation and forwarding sector into a key economic sector of Quảng Nam Province, while promoting trade and improving the competitiveness of export products in the central region.

Geographical location advantage, developing full-package logistics services

Quảng Nam has 13 operating industrial parks, 225 investment projects (including 151 domestic projects and 74 FDI projects), and a highly developed transport infrastructure with a synchronously connecting system between highways, coastal roads, railways, airports, seaports and international border gates.

With these advantages, the province has the potential to develop logistics services. However, its freight transportation and forwarding service network is currently isolated and unconnected, leading to logistics costs higher than those in the North and South.

As a large-scale logistics enterprise, THILOGI aims to develop a logistics network in the central region, connecting by road with neighbouring provinces, the Central Highlands provinces, and southern Laos and northern Cambodian provinces. In particular, Chu Lai Port is an international cargo transit centre and connects by sea with the South and North, meeting the increasing import and export demand in the region.

Taking advantage of its geographical location and the potential of the region, THILOGI has developed a full-package logistics service model, serving diverse needs of customer segments with a wide range of services including seaports, warehouses, multimodal transport (sea, road, air), support for customs clearance procedures, import-export documents, packaging and goods inspection services.

With a warehouse system of over 300,000sq.m, 500 specialised vehicles (tray trucks, tractors, semi-trailers), two container ships, a network of transport partners and shipping lines, and large domestic and international logistics agents, THILOGI provides the most optimal logistics solutions for customers.

With the full-package logistics service model and transportation modes connected from the origin to the destination, THILOGI helps businesses save time and costs, and goods are guaranteed to be safe throughout the transportation journey.

Currently, THILOGI’s transportation service prices are 10 per cent lower than the market price, and service fees at Chu Lai Port are 5 – 30 per cent lower than other ports in the region, contributing to improving the advantages and competitiveness of businesses.

Promoting investment and cooperation for development

In order to increase competitive advantages and create convenience for customers in the freight transportation and forwarding process, THILOGI focuses on perfecting and upgrading full-package logistics services through alliances, partnerships and promoting investment.

It has cooperated with many shipping lines, logistics enterprises, agents, and forwarders to open international transport routes from Chu Lai Port to Northeast Asia countries (China, Korea, Japan), the Americas (USA, Canada, Mexico), and Europe; connected roads within the central and Central Highlands regions, inter-regional roads along the East-West Economic Corridor and international transport from southern Laos, northern Cambodia, and northeast Thailand.

At the same time, THILOGI actively participates and enhances activities of logistics associations and organisations in ASEAN and in the world (FIATA, WCA, FMC, VLA) to expand its partner network, access new logistics trends, and contribute to improving service quality.

Along with the expressways in the central and Central Highlands regions that are being invested in and expanded by the Government to connect logistics infrastructure, THILOGI continues to build warehouses, depots, and transit stations on routes and corridors through international border gates (Nam Giang, Bờ Y, Lê Thanh), connecting Chu Lai Port with Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand to promote multimodal transport connectivity and cross-border transport, especially for transit goods, thereby developing Chu Lai Port into a specialised container port, and a gateway for international cargo transit.

In the coming time, THILOGI will continue to improve its logistics network, and invest in infrastructure and equipment to enhance competitiveness by putting the 50,000-tonne port into operation.

In addition, it will invest in a large number of specialised road vehicles, build satellite logistics centres and an international logistics centre in Chu Lai, bringing goods in the central region, Central Highlands, Laos, and Cambodia to the world market.

With the upgraded full-package logistics service model and optimal solutions, THILOGI meets customers’ diverse needs and contributes to creating a driving force to attract investment in Quảng Nam Province.
