Thai football club Buriram United have been undefeated over 25 consecutive matches in the league and other domestic competitions, the longest winning streak in the world this year.
Their last defeat was on August 6, 2022, against BG Pathum United in the Thailand Champions Cup. Since then they have won 21 games and drew four.
Buriram lead Thai League 1 with 16 wins and four draws so far. Behind them are Bangkok United with nine points fewer.
The league has 10 matches to go.
Buriram have also made it to the quarterfinals of the Thai League Cup and Thai FA Cup. Their next game will be against Bangkok in the latter tournament.
Scottish club Celtic are also amid a long undefeated streak with 22 wins and a draw.
Following Celtic are Portugal’s Porto (20 matches), Turkey’s Galatasaray (17) and Spanish giants Barcelona (16).
Buriram are the most decorated team in Thai League 1 with eight titles in the last 15 seasons, and have several national team stars like Theerathon Bunmathan, Suphanat Mueanta, Supachai Chaided, Peeradon Chamratsamee, and Sasalak Haiprakhon.
