A primary school teacher has been suspended in the central province of Nghe An following allegations of sexual harassment of students.
The 52-year-old man, identified only as Nam, taught at the Bong Khe Commune primary school in Con Cuong District.
Last week the parents of a fifth grader filed a complaint to authorities accusing Nam of “sexual harassment of female students within the school.”
The education department reported it to the district’s People’s Committee.
A Bong Khe Commune spokesperson said Nam has been accused of sexually harassing three girl students in fifth grade in a class where he is the homeroom teacher.
The police are investigating and have yet to make a statement.
