State-owned gold producer SJC targets to bring revenue to a nine-year-high of VND30.4 trillion ($1.29 billion) this year.
The company plans to reach a profit of nearly VND57 billion and sell over 36,000 taels of gold.
SJC also plans to expand to Southeast Asia this year and to partner with universities and colleges to establish a gold manufacturing training curriculum.
The company has yet to release its financial figures for 2022. Last year, gold prices in Vietnam surged to a historic high of VND74 million per tael.
The government selected SJC to be the national gold brand in 2012.
A tael weighs 37.5 grams.
