Skytrax lists Da Nang Airport among world’s 10 most improved

It was the only Vietnamese representative in the list of 10 most improved airports globally put out by the British airline and airport review and ranking site after surveying travelers from across the world and asking them to rate their entire airport experience.

Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in China was named the most improved, followed by LaGuardia Airport in the U.S.

The award category recognizes airports with the best transformation over a 12-month period.

Da Nang Airport was also named among the 10 best regional airports in Asia, those that predominantly serve domestic or regional short-haul international flights.

The ranking site named Singapore’s Changi Airport the world’s best this year.

Da Nang airport, around three kilometers from the downtown area, is Vietnam’s third largest after Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat and Hanoi’s Noi Bai.

The 85-hectare airport is designed to serve four million international and six million domestic passengers a year.

But in 2019, the year before the pandemic, it received 15.5 million passengers.

In line with global trends, the airport has started to organize traditional costume performances and art shows in its international terminal to entertain foreign tourists.
