Singapore actress Fann Wong takes son to Great Wall of China

“Journeying through history with Zed, marveling at the architectural mastery of the Great Wall of China,” she wrote on her Instagram account with over 460,000 followers.

They began their journey by taking a cable car up to the Badaling section of the wall.

A video uploaded on the 52-year-old actress’s Xiaohongshu on July 9 showed her and her son attempting to reach Badaling, the most visited section of the Great Wall.

She was seen calling her husband Christopher Lee to show off the beauty of lush greenery at the site.

The video also captured Fann and her son shopping for souvenirs, watching black bears at the Badaling Bear Paradise, and taking a pulley ride that slides down the mountain.

Built over centuries by China’s emperors to protect their territory, the Great Wall is a UNESCO heritage site that begins in the east at Shanhaiguan in Hebei province and ends at Jiayuguan in Gansu province to the west.

Badaling Great Wall, located 75 km northwest of Beijing, is the best-preserved and most famous section in China, attracting millions of visitors every year.

Fann Wong was the first Singaporean actress to break into Hollywood, playing Chon Lin in the 2003 film “Shanghai Knights.” She was also the youngest actress to win the Star Award for All-Time Favorite Artiste.

She and her husband Lee acted as lovebirds onscreen in TV series such as “The Return of The Condor Heroes.” They dated for nine years before tying the knot in 2009.

In 2022, their family visited Da Nang and Hoi An in central Vietnam to enjoy the Christmas holiday.
