HÀ NỘI — Bia Saigon and the HCM Central Youth Union on Sunday gave Tết gifts to 600 workers in Hà Nội’s Gia Lâm District.
Gia Lâm is among 25 localities across the country where SABECO has launched its corporate social responsibility programme “Tết sẻ chia – Năm Rồng khởi sắc” (Sharing Tết, prosperity in the Year of the Dragon).
The programme is being implemented from January 6 to February 5.
Six hundred workers received Tết gifts worth VNĐ700,000 each, including of VNĐ300,000 “lucky money” in cash and some essential Tết items at the event.
The bustling event, attended by a large number of workers, also featured entertainment activities.
“We have just ended 2023 with a plethora of difficulties and challenges,” Trần Kim Nga, a member of SABECO’s board of directors, said.
“Although Việt Nam is one of the countries that recovered very quickly after the COVID-19 pandemic, we still have to face difficulties due to fluctuations in the global economy.
“As one of the leading enterprises in Việt Nam, SABECO cannot avoid those influences in that general context.
“With a commitment to always contribute to creating positive values for the country and people, SABECO has always joined hands with all levels of Government from the central to local levels for activities aimed at the sustainable development of the community.”
The programme is an integral part of the broader “Welcome the Dragon Year – Multiple Prosperity” campaign initiated by SABECO through its leading beer brand, Bia Saigon.
The programme seeks to honour Việt Nam’s rich Tết culture, which emphasises family values, the spirit of unity and togetherness.
This is a year during which solidarity, cooperation and mutual support between local governments, communities and enterprises are imperative to achieve collective success and development across Việt Nam.
