Several agreements will be inked between the two sides, he added.

All top Japanese leaders highly value Vietnam’s improving position and role in Southeast Asia and the world, and they wish to cement practical and effective ties with the Southeast Asian country, Ambassador Cuong said.

Both sides attach great significance to Party leader Trong’s upcoming visit and will expend every effort to make it a success for mutual interests and for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world, the ambassador said.
