The Communist Party Central Committee’s Central Inspection Commission has recommended disciplinaty actions against a deputy prime minister for his involvement in certain land management violations.
The commission said in a statement issued Thursday that it has reviewed inspection results concerning signs of violations and has suggested disciplinary measures against the Party Staff Committee of the Lam Dong Province People’s Committee.
It found that the provincial Party Standing Committee and the Party Staff Committee of the Lam Dong People’s Committee breached democratic centralism principles and working regulations. They were negligent in their management, which allowed the provincial People’s Committee and other organizations and individuals to seriously violate Party regulations and laws regarding the management and use of land for certain investment projects in the province.
Several Party organizations and members have been disciplined, and numerous Party officials and members have faced legal actions due to their involvement in a bribery and power abuse case at the Dai Ninh urban project in Lam Dong.
“These violations have led to severe consequences that are challenging to rectify, posing a risk of significant financial and property loss to the state, causing public distress and damaging the reputation of Party organizations and local authorities, to the point where disciplinary actions need to be considered,” the statement said.
The committee noted that the responsibility for these violations extends to Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and certain Party organizations and members.
Therefore, the Central Inspection Commission has urged relevant authorities to consider and implement disciplinary actions against Khai.
