Vietnamese goalkeeper Dang Van Lam received a PlayStation Portal as an early Christmas present from his girlfriend.
After Lam’s club Binh Dinh FC beat Hong Linh Ha Tinh 4-0 in the V-League, he returned to Ho Chi Minh City to spend time with his family. The Vietnamese-Russian goalkeeper received an early Christmas gift from girlfriend Yen Xuan in the form of a PlayStation Portal. It is a remote player for the PS5 console, which gives access to the games via wifi and without needing to play on a TV.
The PlayStation Portal has a retail price of $200 but is currently a rare item in Vietnam, with many people having to pay double the price or order it from Japan.
Lam was full of joy when he received the PlayStation Portal from Xuan. After unpacking his gift, the 30-year-old goalkeeper thanked Xuan by blowing her a kiss.

The couple have been dating since 2018. Xuan is currently a personal trainer and mainly works online.
Xuan went to Russia to twice visit Lam’s family on Christmas and New Year. Lam’s family currently lives in Vietnam. Xuan, Lam’s parents, and his two younger siblings often watch him play for Binh Dinh and the national football team.
Lam was born to a Vietnamese father and a Russian mother. He spent his youth at Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Moscow. In 2011, he returned to Vietnam to play for Hoang Anh Gia Lai. After unsuccessful spells in Laos and Russia, his career finally took off when he joined Hai Phong FC in 2015. Over the next few years, he attained excellent form, was called up to the national team, and became their number one choice.
