Lost iPhone returned to British tourist

Two 10th-grade students in the central province of Quang Binh have handed over an iPhone they found to police who then returned it to its owner, a British tourist.

Police officers in Phong Nha City, home to UNESCO-recognized national park and world’s largest cave Son Doong, on Tuesday said the woman Siana Pundick had received her lost iPhone and thanked the students and police forces for assisting her in finding the phone.

The students Hoang Thi Thuy Linh and Tran Quoc Bao spotted an iPhone on a street on their way home after school on Dec. 18, and brought it to the nearby police station.

Suspecting that the mobile phone belonged to a tourist visiting Phong Nha, the police contacted lodging facilities in the city and asked for information about who lost the phone.
