American magazine Travel+Leisure has named Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in the south central province of Khanh Hoa among the world’s 12 best hotels for nature enthusiasts.
Located on Ninh Van Bay, around 60 kilometers from Nha Trang, the resort is home to 62 villas surrounded by lush greenery and is one of few resorts in Vietnam to protect troops of critically-endangered black-shanked douc langurs.
“While on vacation, guests have the unique opportunity to partake in guided hiking trips to learn about forest life and see firsthand how the resort is studying and protecting douc langurs,” the magazine wrote.
“You’ll take in soaring mountain vistas, a verdant forest, and beautiful hiking trails, all chased by a picnic breakfast at the hotel’s private beach.”
A night’s stay starts from $870 and the only way to access the resort is by boat, which takes around 20 minutes.
Other hotels included in the list were Mohonk Mountain House in New York, Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Mexico, Sani Resort in Greece and okcs Retreat Iki Kairi in Japan.
