Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu enjoys Maldives vacation

Wu and her husband Philip Lee took their children to the Maldives for a summer retreat.
The couple previously went there on their honeymoon in 2016.
Maldives, a collection of more than a thousand islands in the Indian Ocean, is known for its clear waters and beautiful beaches.

“Finally, we are back in Maldives paradise,” Wu wrote on her Instagram account with one million followers on Friday.
This time, her family chose to stay at Patina Maldives, one of the most luxurious resorts in the country.

Located on the Fari Islands in the North Male Atoll, 45 minutes from Male International Airport, Patina Maldives has 110 rooms, including beach and over-water villas.
Room rates cost from around US$4,000 a night, according to its website.

Her family book a cruise tour to watch sunset and watch whales at sea, a popular experience at resorts in the Maldives.
“We went on a cruise to watch whales at sunset and were lucky enough to see a pod of four whales swimming close by. Even the crew were excited as they rarely see them,” Wu wrote.

The couple took their children to watch sunset on Fari Islands.

The most ideal time to visit Maldives is during the summer, which runs from December to April. This is also peak season when the weather is pleasant.
Wu said her family enjoyed favorable weather, beautiful sunshine, and no rain during their vacation.

Like most resorts in the Maldives, this resort is built entirely on the sea. The villas are placed above water, and visitors have to walk on a wooden walkway to the mainland.

This villa has a private swimming pool and a spacious sundeck with panoramic views of the Fari Islands.

The family have dinner on the beach. The resort has many restaurants serving European and Asian dishes, and especially fresh seafood.
Wu is a popular actress in Hong Kong. In 2011, she won Best Actress at the TVB Anniversary Awards for her role in the “Curse of the Royal Harem” drama series.
She began dating British-born Lee in 2014, and they married a year later.
Last year, her family also visited Phu Quoc in southern Vietnam.
