HCMC teenager hospitalized with cucumber stuck up rectum

The unnamed male, 19, put a cucumber up his rectum to “experience foreign sensations”, but accidently let it slip to deep inside. He tried to get it out but failed. He was hospitalized six hours later.

Le Huy Luu, a doctor in the digestive department of Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, on Tuesday said the cucumber, which was 10 centimeters long, was lodged deep inside the boy’s rectum. Because of the object’s large size and smooth texture, it could not be removed mechanically, necessitating surgery.

Doctors said this is a rare case of large objects being stuck inside the rectum. If it is not dealt with promptly, there might be consequences like bowel perforation and even death.

Unsafe activities for sexual arousal may not only hurt reproductive and digestive organs, but also one’s life, they warned.
