HCMC resumes int’l English certificate exams for children

The resumed exams include the Cambridge’s Starters, Movers and Flyers for children aged 7-12, the TOEFL Primary for children of at least 8 years old, and the PTE Young Learners for children aged 6-13.

These exams have been suspended for nearly three months since September 10 so that proper procedures regarding foreign language certificate examinations could be completed.

Last month, the British Council and the IDP, the only two authorized entities to organize IELTS test in Vietnam, announced to postpone the exam until further notice.

The indefinite postponement was caused by the organizations failing to acquire their approval documents, the education ministry said, adding that the exams were not being managed properly.

The IDP and the British Council received approval to resume IELTS examination two weeks ago.
