A man in Ho Chi Minh City was arrested for snatching the phone of a French tourist.
Police of HCMC’s District 5 on Wednesday said they were investigating Dinh Cong Minh, 44, for allegedly snatching a mobile phone from a foreign tourist.
At Tuesday noon, while riding his motorbike in District 5, Minh saw two foreigners using their phones to take pictures, so he followed them.
He snatched an iPhone from one of the two foreigners, a 25-year-old French woman, then ran away. The woman called for help, attracting the attention of passersby and police patrolling the area, who managed to apprehend Minh.
