Hanoi basketball club Thang Long Warriors sign American player

Veteran forward Raymond Miller Jr. has joined Hanoi club Thang Long Warriors for the rest of the national basketball league season.

Thang Long signed him up after parting ways with Bosnian forward Arsenjie Vuckokic, who has been struggling with fitness problems and the weather in Vietnam. He left after playing just two games in the Vietnam Basketball Association league (VBA).

Miller, 34, a professional player for 10 years now, stands an imposing 2.04 m, can play as a small forward or a power forward, and is a good close-range shooter

His most recent basketball league was El Salvador’s Liga MB three months ago. He played 15 games there, having an average of 13.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per game.

With an impressive height and fit physique, Miller often scores from dunks. He’s also a good defender with the ability to block and gain rebounds from the midfield.

Vietnam will be Miller’s 10th stop in his career. Before Vietnam, Miller had spells in other Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand and Indonesia.

Thang Long are 5th on the VBA table with one win and one loss. They will play the next game against Cantho Catfish on Wednesday.
