Haaland refuses selfie with fellow Norwegian influencer Isabelle Eriksen

Norwegian social media influencer Isabelle Eriksen was upset when she and her friend were refused a selfie with star striker Erling Haaland.

While many of his Man City teammates like John Stones, Kevin de Bruyne, and Bernardo Silva are competing at the Euro 2024, Haaland is enjoying a summer vacation with his girlfriend and family. In recent weeks, they have traveled to Cannes (France), Marbella (Spain), and Capri (Italy).

Isabelle spotted Haaland when they were both at the famous Playa Padre club in a Marbella resort last month. The 27-year-old influencer posted a photo on Snapchat expressing her surprise at the two being at the same club.

However, she revealed that when she and her friend approached Haaland for a photo, they were bluntly refused. “To be honest, we don’t think he was anything nice,” Isabelle wrote on her Snapchat story after the experience.

A few days later, Norway’s Nettavisen contacted Isabelle for further details regarding the incident. “We got a bad impression considering the way he said no, and not because he said no,” the social media star recounted with Nettavisen. “Of course we understand that he doesn’t want or have time to take a selfie, but it was about the way we felt he said it.”

Isabelle was also unhappy about the way she and her friend were almost “pushed off the road” when Haaland was walking behind them. “Even if you are a well-known profile, you can still be nice,” she added. Nettavisen later reached out to Haaland’s team but received no response.

Apart from being refused a photo by Haaland, Isabelle’s Marbella holiday was also put off by an armed police “raid” into a pub, where everyone was asked to show their identification. A video on social media showed Haaland taking out his ID when approached by the police.

The police did not disclose the reason for the raid, but according to Eriksen, they must have been looking for drugs.

Haaland has scored 90 goals in 96 matches across all competitions for Man City, including winning the Premier League Golden Boot twice. The Norwegian striker became the sixth player to achieve this feat after Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie, Harry Kane, and Mohamed Salah. Haaland is expected to return to Man City in the next few days to prepare for the 2024-2025 season.
