Gasoline prices went up slightly Thursday afternoon after hitting this year’s bottom a week ago.
The popular fuel RON95 rose 0.83% to VND21,850 (US$0.87) per liter.
Biofuel E5 RON92 gained 0.82% to VND20,880. Diesel rose 0.47% to VND19,230.
Regulators said that fuel prices in the last seven days were affected by increasing U.S. inventory, OPEC’s forecast of declining demand due to China’s economic challenges, and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
Gasolines went up 1.3-1.4% in the period while oils added 0.9-2%. RON95 is now priced at around $90.9 per barrel and diesel $92.7.
