FPT Group to develop an education complex in Quảng Ngãi

QUẢNG NGÃI — IT giant FPT Group has put forward a plan to develop a six hectare education complex to support the central province in digital transformation processes in education, health care, databases, digital infrastructure, e-Government and the economy.

General director of FPT Group, Trần Văn Khoa said at a working session with the central provincial people’s committee, that the group would build up a multi-level school system and vocational training system to supply manpower to aid the industrialisation of the province.

Khoa said FPT will cooperate with the province in building digitalisation transformation plan, cybersecurity solutions and databases.

Newly-appointed chairman of the provincial people’s committee, Nguyễn Hoàng Giang said relevant agencies of the province will be boosting procedures and making preparations for the FPT Group to begin the complex soon.

FPT has also donated educational facilities and equipment worth VNĐ100 million (US$4,000) to Võ Hồng Sơn School for children with disabilities.

The group has been cooperating with Đà Nẵng City and Thừa Thiên Huế Province in digital transformation.

It has already developed a secondary school and university in Đà Nẵng and started construction on an education complex in the Hương Trà township of Huế City.

FPT Group have also developed education systems from primary schools up to the university level in Hải Phòng, Bắc Ninh, Đà Nẵng, Cần Thơ, Bình Định, Hà Nội and other co-operative projects with the UK and Australia partners in Việt Nam. VNS
