Family decorates wedding venue with 100 kilograms of lychees

To ensure the fruits survived the high temperatures the north is currently experiencing, Toan’s family had to sprinkle water on them every 15 minutes.

Toan said she got this idea because her daughter’s wedding was in the peak lychee season and she wanted to support local farmers and promote their agricultural products.

“I did not expect to get such a response,” the 48-year-old gushed.

People attending the wedding lavishly complimented the family’s idea.

“The welcome gate made me and other guests feel glad and patriotic,” An, a friend of Toan and her husband, said.

According to the photographer hired to shoot for the wedding, almost all the guests asked to be photographed at the gate.

Toan’s family then gifted the lychees to guests coming from other provinces and cities as a way to say thanks.

The wedding decoration went viral on social media as well.

“Really brilliant and creative,” one netizen said.
