Embassy of State of Kuwait’ staff donates blood to thank Việt Nam

HÀ NỘI — The Embassy of State Of Kuwait staff, led by Chargé d’Affaires Faraj Shebeeb Mda Alajmi, donated blood at the 108 Military Central Hospital on June 20.

The blood donation was part of the Embassy of the State Of Kuwait’s social activities to support patients needing blood, and the emergency and treatment demands of the health sector on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day.

Speaking at the event, Chargé d’Affaires Faraj Shebeeb Mda Alajmi praised the achievements that the Government of Việt Nam and the health sector have gained in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in the past years.

“I really love the country, culture and people of Việt Nam. By doing this, I feel closer and more connected to the country and people of Việt Nam. The blood donation is our special thank you to Vietnamese doctors after the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the pandemic, the State of Kuwait did not hesitate to provide vaccines and everything to support Việt Nam in driving back the COVID-19 pandemic.  I want to affirm that we will continue to donate our blood as a gesture to thank the Government of Việt Nam and the health sector,” said Alajmi.

“I highly appreciate achievements that doctors of the 108 Military Central Hospital have gained in the healthcare field, and I also look forward to deeper cooperation between the Embassy of State Of Kuwait and the 108 Military Central Hospital in the near future.”

The National Military Hospital Deputy Director Colonel Lê Hữu Song thanked officers and employees of the Kuwaiti embassy for their good deeds and expressed his hope that this event would open a new cooperationve relationship between the hospital and the Kuwait Embassy in the near future.

“I believe that the collected blood will help save many patients in an emergency. This is not only a humanitarian activity but also a way to strengthen the feelings of the people of Kuwait and Việt Nam,” said Song. — VNS
