The U.S. dollar rose against the Vietnamese dong Thursday morning.
Vietcombank sold the dollar at VND23,660, up 0.06% from Wednesday.
Eximbank maintained the greenback at VND23,630. The rate stayed unchanged at Techcombank, VND23,645.
The State Bank of Vietnam raised its reference rate by 0.11% to VND23,642.
Unofficial exchange points sold the dollar at VND23,500, down 0.08%. The dollar has decreased by 0.29% since the beginning of the year.
Globally the dollar index fell 0.039%, with the euro up 0.04% to $1.0958, Reuters reported.
The yen weakened 0.08% to 134.83 per dollar, while sterling was last trading at $1.2432, down 0.05% on the day.
