There were 3,717 new Covid-19 cases in 53 cities and provinces on Sunday, the lowest number in the last 187 days, health authorities said.
In the last week, the daily average was 6,552, down 32 percent from the previous week. There were four deaths, down 58 percent.
On Sunday, one death was reported, taking the toll to 43,042, or 0.4 percent of the country’s total infections.
In the latest wave that began in April last year, more than 10.5 million cases have been reported with 9.2 million already recovering.
80.4 percent of the population has received two doses of vaccines.
