HÀ NỘI — The Central Inspection Commission has reviewed its work over the first half of 2024 and set tasks for the remainder of the year.

Permanent deputy chairman of the commission, Trần Văn Rón, said the commission directed 20 localities and units to review the leadership, direction and implementation of Party regulations and State laws regarding projects and bidding packages handled by Phúc Sơn and Thuận An groups, along with related enterprises.

Reporting to a conference on July 9, the commission said it had directly inspected six Party organisations showing signs of wrongdoing and requested the standing boards and inspection commissions of the Party Committees of 10 provinces and centrally-run cities to conduct inspections at the Party delegations to their People’s Committees.

In the first six months, the inspection commissions at all levels, launched investigations into 18,476 Party organisations and 107,165 Party members.

The inspections found that 631 Party organisations and 1,767 members committed wrongdoings or mistakes.

The inspection commission at all levels also inspected 131 Party organisations and 922 Party members showing signs of wrongdoing. Of these, 89 organisations and 804 members were found to have committed wrongdoings or mistakes, and disciplinary actions were considered for 43 organisations and 584 members.

Inspection commissions at all levels examined cases of suspected wrongdoing involving 804 Party organisations and 2,850 members, concluding that 613 organisations and 2,390 members had committed wrongdoings or mistakes.

Disciplinary measures were considered for 95 organisations and 1,137 members.

Of these, the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission took disciplinary actions against 79 Party organisations and 95 Party members under its authority.

It also recommended the Party Central Committee, Politburo and Secretariat take disciplinary measures against 10 organisations and 17 members.

For the mission in the later six months of this year, Rón said that the Central Inspection Commission will continue to direct Party committees and organisations to conclusively complete inspections, audits and disciplinary actions against Party organisations and members involved with the Advanced International JSC (AIC).

The commission will inspect and guide provincial Party Committees, Party organisations and members suspected of violations in leading and directing the implementation of projects and bidding packages managed by Phúc Sơn and Thuận An groups, following conclusions from the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption and Negative Phenomena.

They will also investigate suspected violations related to the enforcement of civil judgments in certain localities. — VNS
