CEL, ECQ collaborate to provide cybersecurity solutions for Japanese market

The Japanese market welcomes ECQ’s single-rack SCADA/OT system simulation product as a comprehensive solution for critical infrastructure security.

Cyberattack methods are becoming increasingly sophisticated and complex, and new threats from Asia are also rapidly increasing, leading to the need for effective countermeasures against cybersecurity threats.

CEL, one of the leading ethical hacker companies in Japan, partnered with ECQ, a leading offensive security firm from Vietnam with its headquarters in Singapore and a branch in Thailand, with the motto “Offensive is Defensive,” to provide comprehensive and advanced cybersecurity solutions to the Japanese market.

Through this partnership, CEL and ECQ will support Japanese companies in improving their cyber resilience and the sophistication of their security measures to realize a safe digital society.

The two companies aim to enhance the quality, quantity, and diversity of cybersecurity services in the Japanese market and contribute to strengthening cybersecurity in the Asia-Pacific region.

In the fields of OT (operational technology) security, Red Team services, and APT simulation, they will focus on developing solutions to realize a secure digital society and effectively address new threats and challenges posed by industrial networks.

The SCADA/OT simulator is a specific solution developed by ECQ that will be deployed in the Japanese market.

It is the size of a server rack but can almost exactly replicate the operating environment of an oil plant, water plant, airport, railway system, or port.

The simulation system allows for examining security vulnerabilities in OT without interfering with the actual system. It also facilitates more specific and accessible OT security training.

In addition, it is used for penetration testing and cyber drills in a simulated environment, enhancing the ability to respond to security threats.

Yuya Nakamoto, Representative Director of CEL, said that they are delighted to be able to provide Japanese companies with more advanced cybersecurity solutions for the latest threats in the Asian region through their strategic business alliance with ECQ.

“By combining the expertise of both companies, particularly in the area of OT security, we will be able to provide more secure and reliable services to manufacturers and critical infrastructure providers and contribute to improving the cyber resilience of Japanese companies,” he said.
