British songwriter releases new single with Vietnamese singer

Hoang Duyen will lend her voice to British singer-songwriter Calum Scott’s new single ‘Heaven’, which will be released Thursday night.

According to the Vietnamese singer, a record label sent her a demo of the song and asked whether she wants to collaborate with Scott.”

“I loved the demo right away after the first listen and accepted the offer without hesitation,” local media quoted Duyen as saying.

Meanwhile, Scott said that he was searching for a Vietnamese artist who could perform the song ‘Heaven’ with a blend of vocals and inspirational performances.

Scott praised Duyen’s voice and expressed his desire to visit Vietnam and perform the song with her.

“Duyen was the perfect choice for this song,” he said.

The Vietnamese singer said the song exudes positive energy and both “have worked on this project wholeheartedly.”

Scott will also perform ‘Heaven’ with other Southeast Asian artists like Darren Espanto, one of the Philippines’ most successful male pop artists of the past decade; Diana Danielle, a multi-hyphenate with a social following of more than six million in Malaysia; and Lyodra, winner of Indonesian Idol 2020 and a household name known for her vocal prowess.

The four upcoming collaborative singles, which will be released on June 9, capture the ethereal feeling of falling in love with the concept of an unimaginable paradise, a universal feeling that certainly transcends boundaries.

The artist said that ‘Heaven’ is the fourth single from his long-awaited sophomore album ‘Bridges’, which will be released on June 17.
