British Airways flight attendant dies on aircraft

Metro reported that the incident happened on Dec. 30, 2023, when the 52-year-old male crew member collapsed as he was getting ready for the plane’s departure.

A passenger on the flight stepped in to administer first aid following the captain’s request for help. Meanwhile, the London Ambulance Service was quickly informed and sent an ambulance team, a rapid response vehicle, a bicycle paramedic, and a trauma unit to Heathrow airport.

However, despite the swift medical response, they were unable to save the attendant. The death was confirmed at the scene by a spokesperson for the Ambulance Service, as stated in a Business Insider report.

Passengers on the affected flight were consequently provided accommodation in hotels nearby and their departure was rearranged for the next day.
