Pax Thien, the Vietnamese-born son adopted by American actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, reportedly refuses to accept care from his father, despite Pitt’s attempts to reach out.
According to sources, Pax is uninterested in any well wishes from his “distraught dad” Brad, 61, even though the “heartbroken” actor is eager to help in any way possible.

They said: ‘Don’t expect Pax’s accident to bring the family dynamic back in any way as Pax is 100% on Jolie’s side and doesn’t want any well wishes or remorse from Pitt.
“Pitt is upset that Pax got hurt and would love to help out in any way possible during his recovery, but it doesn’t seem to be something that will ever happen since there is a forever disconnect and divide between them all.”
“It is gutting Pitt that it has got to this point that he can’t even be a worried dad, as all he is getting is radio silence from finding out exactly what is going down with his son. It is just another distressed circumstance that is part of Pitt’s normal life.”
“He wishes that everyone could be above it all since this situation involves people’s lives, but emotions as they are between Pax, Jolie and Pitt are so bad that there will never be a time where it gets to a place where things are OK.”
Daily Mail contacted representatives for Jolie and Pitt, both of whom declined to comment.
The rift between Pax and Pitt began after a 2016 incident involving Pitt and Angelina Jolie on a plane, which eventually led to their divorce. This estrangement worsened when Pax publicly criticized Pitt and, along with his brother Maddox, decided to drop the Pitt surname.
Yahoo News reported that Pax described Pitt as “a terrible and awful person” in a private Instagram story in 2020.

Pax was involved in an accident on July 29, colliding with a stationary car while riding his electric bike. Lola Cavalli, who applied first aid to Pax at the scene, told Entertainment Tonight that Pax was not wearing a helmet and was bleeding from the head. “It was not a lot of blood, but his mouth was filled with it. When he tried to speak, a small stream of blood came from his mouth,” Cavalli said.
Daily Mail reported that Pax has been moved out of the intensive care unit (ICU) more than a week after the accident. Jolie has stayed by her son’s side during his hospitalization, expressing gratitude for the emergency responders and medical staff. His siblings have also visited to show support. Pax has reportedly begun his recovery and physical therapy.
Pax was abandoned by his biological mother shortly after his birth in Ho Chi Minh City. Then placed in a local orphanage, where he was named Pham Quang Sang, he stayed there until being adopted by Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 61, in 2007.
