Brad Pitt ‘upset’ as he fails to contact Vietnamese-born son Pax Thien after bike accident

American actor Brad Pitt is reportedly distressed as he is unable to contact his estranged adopted Vietnamese-born son, Pax Thien, currently hospitalized after a bike accident in Los Angeles.

Despite Pitt’s repeated attempts to reach out, his calls remain unanswered, leaving him feeling powerless and concerned, as disclosed by a source to the Daily Mail.

“It is very upsetting to Pitt whenever he hears of one of the kids being hurt and he feels completely powerless because there is nothing that he can do at all.”

“A father’s inclination would be to go to the hospital, or to call him. He’s tried so many times but the kids won’t take his calls. His hands are tied.”

Pax collided with the rear of a stationary car at a red light while riding his electric bike without a helmet, around 5 p.m. on July 29, Page Six cites law enforcement sources as saying.

The insider added: “Pitt doesn’t think that Pax should be driving a scooter without a helmet to begin with – he should have been in a car.”

The relationship between Pax and Pitt has been strained since a 2016 incident involving Pitt and Angelina Jolie on a plane, which ultimately led to the couple’s divorce. This estrangement has been further complicated by Pax’s public criticism of Pitt and the decision by Pax and his brother Maddox to drop the Pitt surname.

Yahoo News reported that Pax criticised the actor as “a terrible and awful person” in a private Instagram story in 2020.

Pax is in stable condition, although there were initial worries he might have sustained a minor brain bleed. Jolie is reportedly by his side at the hospital. Details regarding his discharge or the specifics of his injuries have not yet been released by international media.

Pax was abandoned by his biological mother shortly after his birth in Ho Chi Minh City. Then placed in a local orphanage, where he was named Pham Quang Sang, he stayed there until being adopted by Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 61, in 2007.

Pax shares a close bond with his mother, frequently joining her on film sets and helping with her business endeavors.

Pax was last spotted with Jolie on July 12, enjoying a meal at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles. Sources reveal that Pax opted out of higher education and now works as a game artist using the alias “Embtto” to maintain privacy. His art is characterized by an abstract style, employing diverse materials and techniques.

Pax intends to organize an art exhibition in Israel eventually. Beyond his art, he also assists his mother with her fashion brand, Atelier Jolie.
