Bangkok movie set with Vietnamese street scene attracts Twitter attention

A movie set that purports to be a location in Vietnam at Hua Lamphong Station in Bangkok has attracted much attention on Twitter.

Bangkok Pat, a YouTuber who photographs and videographs everyday life in the Thai capital posted photos of a street set with many signboards in Vietnamese. His photos uploaded on March 19 have attracted more than 17,000 views. He said when he first saw a group of people passing by there, he thought they were tourists. But after seeing they were dressed as Saigonese from the 70s, he guessed they were movie extras and the road was a movie set. Photo by Twitter/bangkok_pat
