Gymnast Sunisa Lee said she was craving a bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup as a celebration after she finished her competitions at the Paris Olympics.
“I want some pho. I’ve been craving pho or some type of soup anywhere I look here, I just can’t find it. But yeah, that’s so Asian of me,” the Hmong-American Olympian said in an interview as cited by Today after her impressive performances at this year’s Games for the U.S., where she won one gold medal and two bronze.
Fans online began to help her find pho restaurants in Paris, and the 21-year-old gymnast received a list of more than 50 such restaurants in the French capital.
“Paris has some of the best pho in the world… check-in with the large Vietnamese community there,” a fan wrote on social media.
“Someone tells Suni Paris actually has great pho in the 13th arrondissement,”another wrote.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Lee shared that she wanted to eat pizza after winning the all-around gold medal. Returning to the U.S., Lee also posted a photo of herself wearing an Olympic shirt and lying next to a giant slice of pizza.
There are over 60 restaurants that serve pho in Paris, according to Tripadvisor.
