Wong, 41, walked the red carpet at Lincoln Center on Tuesday in an all-white ao dai (traditional Vietnamese tunic), reported Footwear News.
Her classic outfit boasted some modern touches added by its contemporary designers.
The design featured long hanging sleeves with sequins, and feathers sewn into the bottom of the dress.
Wong stood out against the red decor of the event. Her headpiece was inspired by a peacock’s tale and included pearls, flowers and beads.
The Time 100 Gala is an annual celebration of Time Magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people. Wong has been named on the list twice: in 2020 and this year.
Wong was born in the US in 1982 to a Vietnamese mother and a Chinese-American father. In 2000, she enrolled at UCLA, where she majored in Asian-American studies. She spent her junior year in Hanoi and then studied in Vietnam through a post-grad Fulbright program. Her representative work includes “Baby Cobra,” “Hard Knock Wife,” “Always Be My Maybe,” while her most recent work is the Netflix series “Beef.”
