HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội will implement strict monitoring and early detection of infectious disease cases in the community to understand the epidemic situation and organise timely investigation and management of cases and outbreaks.
On August 5, the Hà Nội Centres for Disease Control (CDC) reported that during the week, the Hà Nội CDC carried out environmental sanitation and disease prevention monitoring in the flood-affected districts and communes of Chương Mỹ, Quốc Oai and Mỹ Đức.
Households in the flooded areas are regularly cleaning their local environment, with efforts proceeding as the water recedes. Waste is being collected and transported by public services throughout the week.
Local authorities have organised 27 environmental sanitation campaigns, inspected disease prevention measures in 102,111 households and 777 other areas such as schools and public places and addressed 12,190 containers of standing water with mosquito larvae.

There were ten people exposed to the rabid dogs. These cases have been treated, advised to receive rabies vaccinations and monitored according to regulations.

Based on this, the health sector advised parents to ensure that their children receive vaccinations on schedule.
