Malaysian comedian Harith Iskander’s wife files for divorce after 14 years of marriage

Though the exact date of the filing remains unknown, a photograph of Lim outside the courthouse, dressed in a robe and headscarf alongside syariah lawyer Akberdien Abdul Kadir, has surfaced online, according to mStar, the Malay-language portal of The Star newspaper, Wednesday.

Iskander, 58, and Lim, 41, who married in 2010, have three children aged 14, 11, and nine.

When contacted by mStar Tuesday, Lim confirmed she had filed for divorce in June but declined to disclose her reasons.

Iskander, known as Malaysia’s “godfather of stand-up comedy,” also chose not to comment. “I have no comments on that matter,” he said.

Sources report that the divorce case will be mentioned in court this month, as noted by The New Straits Times.
