HẢI PHÒNG – Việt Nam topped the medal table at the Southeast Asian Rowing Sprint Senior, U23, U19 and Junior Championships which closed in Hải Phòng on June 30.
After five days of competitions, the host athletes took 34 golds, 23 silvers and 13 bronzes.
Indonesia came second with five golds, followed by Thailand which took two golds.
More than 260 athletes took part in the championship which was considered a key test for them, ahead of the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in 2025, according to organisers.
The canoeing event, which features 300 competitors, will continue at the Hải Phòng Rowing Training Centre in Thủy Nguyên District, wrapping up on July 7. VNS
