Chicilon’s strategy for increasing coverage


Chicilon Media added 8,000 new screens in 2023, a growth rate of more than 34.3%, to occupy 92% of the elevator advertising market in Vietnam.

According to Guo Zhi Feng, Chairman of Chicilon Media, in order to achieve the results, the company has increased its expansion of media resources to cover more than 3,000 middle- and high-end buildings. Currently, it has more than 32,000 advertising screens, reaching 40 million viewers.

“We always monitor the remaining resources in the market and seize opportunities when competitors in the same segment cannot afford to pay rental fees for building management unit. If it suits our standards (11 floors or more, floor area over 300 m2), we will sign the contract,” Guo said.

By gathering a large number of screens across the country, offering low cost per display, and other advantages, Chicilon Media dominated 92% of the building elevator media market share and became one of the leading companies in the industry.

The company currently owns five major media channels – television, building elevator posters, supermarket televisions, large posters, and LED lights at the airport.

The system is present in more than 3,000 office buildings, luxury apartments, 16 airports, and 41 supermarkets in major cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang.

Chicilon Media also provides media services for more than 700 major domestic brands, such as Vinamilk, Samsung, Unilever, LG, Viettel, Daikin, VNPT, FPT, Masan, Oppo, Vivo, Midea, Aqua, and others…

In 2024, a Chicilon Media representative said, the company will continue to expand existing resources, increasing the number of points and screens.

“Having more than 32,000 screens will not be the final number in our development plan. We are in the process of highlighting our position in the field of building elevator media channels,” said the representative.

Recently, the advertising message “Congratulations to Chicilon Media on reaching the milestone of 32,000+ advertising screens” has simultaneously appeared on screens at major airports across the country, high-rise buildings, and apartment buildings in Ho Chi Minh City.

The message attracted consumers’ attention and prompted positive discussions from the Vietnamese business community.

Despite the economic fluctuations, Chicilon Media still has many achievements, including being honored in prestigious rankings such as the Top 500 Enterprises with the Best Revenue and Profit in 2023, the Top 100 Best Places to Work in 2023, and a merit commending typical tax-paying enterprises in 2022 from the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

The company also joined international advertising organizations such as MMA Global Vietnam (the Global Vietnamese Marketing Association) and WOO (the World Billboard Organization), representing Vietnam, to make great strides in joining and competing on the international media market.
