People in Bac Lieu Province in the Mekong Delta caught a crocodile 1.6 meters long and weighing 20 kg in a house yard on Sunday morning.
Tuan, a resident in Long Thanh Commune, Vinh Loi District, said he was awaken by dog barks at 1 a.m. As his neighbors said they found a crocodile in their back yard, he came to help catch it.
“It took four of us nearly one hour to tie up the crocodile’s mouth and four legs. It reacted ferociously anytime someone touched it,” Tuan said.

Ten days ago, people in the commune saw a crocodile around two meters long swimming at a pond around one km from Tuan’s neighbors’ house, but they are not sure if it was the one they caught.
The crocodile has been handed over to the province’s forest rangers.
