Vietnamese embraced diversity, personal wellbeing in 2022: Google search report

The annual “Year in Search 2022” report by the tech giant on search behaviors said people are seeking to live life “on their own terms” by looking for their identities and others things they value, especially following the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Searches for “gender equality” and “LGBT” jumped by 150% and 50%. The report, released on Monday, said people were “looking to be their most full and authentic selves” by embracing their diverse individualities and personal brands.

People also paid more attention to their well-being, it said, with searches for “stress” growing by 240%.

“Reduce stress” saw a 50% increase and “health,” 90%.

More and more Vietnamese were looking for new job opportunities, with searches for “curriculum vitae,” “apprentice” and “learn English speaking” rising by around 20%.

People were also looking for ways to improve their financial and economic literacy, with searches for “inflation,” “good prices” and “cryptocurrency” rising by up to 260%.
