Fashion collection embodies Tet spirit in HCMC

Vu Ngoc and Son said they prepared for months to shoot their new collection at Ho Chi Minh City landmarks.
In a new set of photos that came out Tuesday, models showcased colorful outfits in front of Ben Thanh Market, Binh Tay Market, Independence Palace and many of the city’s other well-known locations.

Pink, orange, and red are just a few of the bright colors featured in the Tet-inspired collection, which boasts handmade embroidery and 3D flower designs.
“With this project, we hope to show people, especially international tourists, how modern Ho Chi Minh City has become without losing its cultural and historical charm,” said a statement by the two designers.

The primary component of this collection is wool, making it ideal for brisk winter strolls.

Designers Vu Ngoc and Son have said they’re hoping to push the color purple this year, as opposed to the color pink in 2022. In this photo, a female model wears a feather dress and the male model wears an oversized velvet suit.

This cat-print design is one of the highlights of this collection as Vietnam prepares to welcome The Year of the Cat this Sunday.

Vu Ngoc and Son, whose real names are Vu Ngoc Tu and Dinh Truong Tung, are known for their colorful creations.
Oftentimes, to create a new and interesting style, they combine elements of both Eastern and Western design.
