NovaGroup collaborates with DEG Impulse to implement education project

NovaGroup and DEG Impulse, a subsidiary of DEG, the German Development Finance Institution, announced the project “Teaching English and Informatics for free for primary school students” in Binh Thuan and Dong Thap provinces on Monday.

Almost EUR400,000 ($387,600) has been set aside for the project, which is expected be implemented from 2022–24.

The project will provide 1,000 students at Tien Thanh 1 Primary School, Tien Thanh 2 Primary School (Binh Thuan), and Long Khanh A3 Primary School (Dong Thap) with free English and Informatics lessons.

NovaGroup also presented 1,000 gifts to all students at the schools at the beginning of new school year, including Te Te rice cakes, sausages, and canned foods from Nova Consumer Corporation.

The schools chosen for this project have limited capacity for teaching English and Informatics. Students do not have access to international-standard curricula.

In addition to helping the schools improve their teaching and learning facilities and equipment, the initiative aims to enhance the quality of English skills and computer instruction. The first day of classes is October 3.

Nova Education plays the role of a training unit in the project, and Nova College directly implements teaching expertise.

Nova Education is responsible for evaluating teaching expertise and program content, while also supervising the process of construction and installation of facilities and equipment.

The company has experience in building an advanced and comprehensive educational environment, training Vietnamese students with knowledge and skills to integrate globally.

The project provides students with an Informatics program in accordance with international IC3 Spark test requirements and an English learning program in accordance with Cambridge YLE standards. The lessons will also have foreign teachers to enhance interaction and communication.

Demonstrating the company’s social responsibility, the project will be continued and expanded in other localities.

NovaGroup will build and operate the Vietnam Future School system – a free inter-level school system for disadvantaged students in the near future. The first school will be built in Tien Thanh Commune, Phan Thiet Town, Binh Thuan Province – where the 1,000-ha NovaWorld Phan Thiet project is under construction. The group will continue to set up schools in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Dong Nai, and other provinces.
