748 new COVID-19 patients registered on Tuesday

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam on Tuesday confirmed 748 new COVID-19 patients.

The country has now had a total of 10,738,909 cases, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories worldwide.

All the new infections were domestic.

The new transmissions were reported in 40 out of 63 provinces and cities across the country. A total of 636 infections were detected in the community.

Hà Nội continued to lead the country with 145 patients.

Other localities that reported new cases were Phú Thọ (74), Nghệ An (44), Lào Cai (42), Bắc Ninh (37), Yên Bái (34), Hồ Chí Minh City (26), Quảng Ninh (25), Hà Nam (22), Hải Dương (21), Bắc Giang (19), Vĩnh Phúc (19), Cao Bằng (17), Hòa Bình (16), Hưng Yên (16), Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (15), Đà Nẵng (15), Thái Bình (15), Quảng Bình (14), Thái Nguyên (13), Tuyên Quang (13), Quảng Ngãi (12), Lai Châu (11), Quảng Trị (10), Long An (9), Bắc Kạn (9), Nam Định (8 ), Sơn La (8 ), Lâm Đồng (8 ), Lạng Sơn (7), Thanh Hóa (5), Ninh Bình (5), Tây Ninh (4), Đồng Tháp (2), Gia Lai (2), Hải Phòng (2), Bình Dương (1), Bình Phước (1), Bình Định (1) and Kiên Giang (1).

A total of 5,780 patients were declared recovered from the disease today, with 9,617,180 being given the all-clear so far.

One fatality related to COVID-19 was reported in Bến Tre.

More than 226.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to date, including over 6.1 million given to children aged between 5 and 11 years old. — VNS
