Vietnam ranks fifth globally in the ratio of non-fungible token game players amid the rising popularity of the play-to-earn entertainment platforms, a survey has found.
Twenty three percent of Vietnamese respondents say they play NFT games, and 9.6 percent of them plan to do so in future, according to a survey conducted from March to May by Australian data research company Finder.
India claimed the top spot among 26 countries and territories surveyed with 33.8 percent of respondents saying they are NFT gamers, followed by Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, and the Philippines.
Vietnam has made headlines in the non-fungible token world in recent years with Axie Infinity, one of the most popular NFT games globally.
Titan Hunters, another gamed developed by Vietnamese, is also gaining popularity in Japan, which has the largest number of players and developers of electronic games globally.
Many NFT games are play-to-earn platforms where players can make money by winning or owning valuable items or characters. Players often trade using a cryptocurrency.
