80,838 new COVID-19 cases confirmed on Thursday

HÀ NỘI — The health ministry announced 80,838 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday, including 11 imported cases.

Hà Nội continued to lead the daily transmissions with 8,054.

The remaining infections were in Phú Thọ (3,415), Nghệ An (3,399), Yên Bái (3,156), Đắk Lắk (3,107), Lào Cai (2,981), Hải Dương (2,864), Bắc Giang (2,688), Quảng Ninh (2,509), Quảng Bình (2,352), Hà Giang (2,344), Lạng Sơn (2,159), Vĩnh Phúc (2,039), Thái Bình (1,966), Bắc Kạn (1,917), Sơn La (1,813), Hưng Yên (1,784), Tuyên Quang (1,672), Bắc Ninh (1,653), Vĩnh Long (1,642), Cao Bằng (1,630), Bình Định (1,437), Quảng Trị (1,369), Cà Mau (1,265), Lâm Đồng (1,264), Hà Nam (1,258), Tây Ninh (1,238), Thái Nguyên (1,179), Điện Biên (1,164), Hòa Bình (1,160), Lai Châu (1,097), Ninh Bình (1,046), HCM City (924), Quảng Ngãi (920), Bến Tre (876), Bình Dương (827), Bình Phước (766), Hà Tĩnh (757), Đà Nẵng (736), Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (688), Nam Định (672), Thừa Thiê-Huế (589), Trà Vinh (539), Thanh Hóa (535), Đắk Nông (426), Phú Yên (408), Khánh Hòa (386), Hải Phòng (365), Bình Thuận (341), Quảng Nam (270), Kon Tum (179), An Giang (178), Bạc Liêu (166), Kiên Giang (161), Long An (125), Cần Thơ (101), Đồng Nai (97), Đồng Tháp (85), Sóc Trăng (52), Ninh Thuận (20), Hậu Giang (12) and Tiền Giang (5).

The seven-day average of new daily cases in the country is currently 91,762.

Việt Nam’s total COVID-19 caseload now stands at 9,564,609, ranking 12th of 225 countries worldwide.

A total of 250,482 COVID-19 patients were given the all-clear, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,519,013 since the start of the pandemic.

More than 2,975 seriously ill COVID-19 patients in active treatment, with none on life support.

There were 39 COVID-19 related deaths recorded, putting the total fatalities nationwide at 42,493, or 0.4 per cent of infections.

The deaths were in Bến Tre (5), Bình Thuận (4), Cao Bằng (4), Phú Yên (4), Bạc Liêu (2), Đắk Lắk (2), Lâm Đồng (2), Quảng Ninh (2), Sóc Trăng (2), Vĩnh Long (2), Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (1), Cà Mau (1), Gia Lai (1), Hà Nam (1), Hà Tĩnh (1), Hậu Giang (1), Lạng Sơn (1), Quảng Ngãi (1), Tây Ninh (1) and HCM City (1).
