18-year-younger wife of actress Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband forms close bonds with step-daughter

As reported by Sinchew, Mandy traveled to Okinawa, Japan, with Wang and his children. Throughout the journey, she frequently engaged with Wang’s daughter Hsi-yueh, especially at meal times, and was even photographed holding hands with her while touring a marine life museum.

Mandy also recently displayed the gifts she received from her stepchildren—small toys they cherish—for her birthday on July 18.

Praise for their positive stepmother-stepdaughter relationship has surfaced on Weibo, with comments commending Mandy’s adeptness which has endeared her to her stepchildren.

It is also reported that Mandy is highly valued by her mother-in-law, businesswoman Zhang Lan, who has often lauded her new daughter-in-law and expressed eagerness for grandchildren. Zhang noted that Mandy demonstrates considerable respect and courtesy towards her.

In reciprocation, Wang has shown thoughtful consideration for Mandy’s family. He hosted her family in Taiwan for a meal upon returning from Japan, provided transportation for them, and accompanied Mandy on a visit to her family in China’s southeastern province of Jiangxi for Father’s Day on June 16.

Wang, 43, was introduced to Mandy, 25, by a mutual acquaintance. Despite her previous marriage, Wang has dismissed its significance, prioritizing her treatment of him and his children above all else.

He credits Mandy with bringing significant purpose to his life, appreciating her genuineness and her enjoyment of simple pleasures like eating at street food stalls and traveling widely. He claims that since they began their relationship, he has reduced his alcohol consumption and refined his speech.

Wang’s housekeeper has also praised Mandy for her beauty, gentleness, and kindness.

Wang and Hsu, who married in 2011 and divorced in 2021, have two children together.

Hsu, 48, is well-known for her roles in television series such as “Meteor Garden,” “Mars,” and “Summer’s Desire.”

Just three months after separating from Wang, Hsu remarried DJ Koo, a 55-year-old South Korean artist, who has moved to Taiwan to be with her and her children.

Last year, Hsu initiated legal actions against Wang and his mother, accusing them of defamation and revealing private information. This marked the beginning of ongoing legal disputes between the former couple.
