1,039 new COVID-19 patients confirmed on Friday

HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội on Friday continued to lead the country for the number of new daily COVID-19 patients with 230.

Việt Nam saw 1,039 new coronavirus transmissions across the country.

The country has had a total of 10,723,673 patients so far, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories worldwide.

All of the new patients were domestic cases.

The new infections were reported in 46 out of 63 provinces and cities across the country.

770 infections were detected in the community.

Other localities that reported new cases were Yên Bái (80), Phú Thọ (56), Nghệ An (51), Vĩnh Phúc (47), Bắc Ninh (43), Lào Cai (43), Quảng Ninh (39), Hà Nam (31), Tuyên Quang (31), Đà Nẵng (30), Thái Nguyên (24), Hà Giang (24), Hải Dương (23), Quảng Bình (23), HCM City (22), Thái Bình (19), Sơn La (18), Lâm Đồng (17), Bắc Kạn (17), Nam Định (15), Lạng Sơn (15), Hòa Bình (14), Hải Phòng (13), Hưng Yên (12), Thanh Hóa (12), Thừa Thiên-Huế (11), Lai Châu (9), Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu (8), Cao Bằng (8), Ninh Bình (7), Quảng Trị (7), Bình Định (6), Điện Biên (6), Gia Lai (5), Bình Phước (4), Bến Tre (3), Cà Mau (3), Quảng Ngãi (3), Tây Ninh (2), Bắc Giang (2), Vĩnh Long (2), An Giang (1), Hậu Giang (1), Bạc Liêu (1) and Khánh Hòa (1).

9,146 patients were declared recovered from the disease, with 9,486,806 given the all-clear so far.

No fatalities related to COVID-19 were reported.

More than 221.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to date. More than 4.6 million of them were given to children between 5 and 11 years old. — VNS
