1,010 new COVID-19 patients registered on Tuesday

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam on Tuesday saw a decrease in new daily COVID-19 patients. The country confirmed 1,010 new infections, a decrease of 108 compared with yesterday, the latest announcement from the Ministry of Health said.

So far Việt Nam has had a total of 10,719,379 patients, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories worldwide.

All of the new transmissions were domestic.

The new cases were reported in 40 out of 63 provinces and cities across the country. As many as 696 infections were detected in the community.

The capital city of Hà Nội led the country with 251 new transmissions.

Other localities that reported new infections were Yên Bái (78), Vĩnh Phúc (61), Phú Thọ (59), Nam Định (49), Quảng Ninh (39), Nghệ An (35), Lào Cai (33), Hồ Chí Minh City (32), Tuyên Quang (28), Thái Nguyên (24), Thái Bình (23), Hòa Bình (22), Hải Dương (22), Đà Nẵng (20), Sơn La (20), Lâm Đồng (18), Hải Phòng (18), Hà Tĩnh (15), Hà Giang (15), Bắc Kạn (14), Cao Bằng (13), Thanh Hóa (13), Quảng Trị (12), Quảng Bình (12), Hà Nam (11), Ninh Bình (11), Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (10), Lạng Sơn (9), Thừa Thiên Huế (8 ), Bắc Giang (7), Bình Phước (7), Hưng Yên (6), Cà Mau (4), Quảng Ngãi (3), Điện Biên (3), Bình Định (2), Khánh Hòa (1), Đồng Nai (1) and Bến Tre (1).

5,757 patients were declared recovered from the disease. A total of 9,462,298 people have been given the all-clear to date.

One fatality related to COVID-19 was reported on Tuesday in Bình Dương Province.

More than 221.1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide so far, including more than 4.3 million to children between 5 and 11 years old. — VNS
